This is the personal website of Ravi Tripathi ("I", "me", "my"), available at ravitripathi.in. I respect your privacy and collect the minimum information needed to run this site. This policy explains what is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have. This website is a personal portfolio — it does not sell products, run advertisements, or require you to create an account.
2. Information I Collect
Contact form. If you choose to write to me through the contact form, I receive the details you submit: your name, email address, and message. The simple verification question exists only to reduce automated spam; your answer is not stored or profiled.
Server logs. Like almost every website, the hosting server may automatically record standard technical logs — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — for security and to keep the site running reliably. I do not use these logs to identify visitors.
I do not collect financial information, government identifiers, or any special categories of personal data through this website.
3. How Your Information Is Used
- To read and respond to messages you send me — that is the only purpose of the contact form.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the website.
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and I do not use it for marketing lists or automated decision-making.
4. Cookies & Analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There are no social media pixels or fingerprinting scripts.
5. Third-Party Services
A few carefully chosen third-party services help the site function. When your browser talks to them, your IP address is visible to that provider under its own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts — the site's typefaces are delivered by Google's font servers (Google Privacy Policy).
- Live market data — the Sensex/Nifty ticker fetches index values from a published Google Sheets document. Only a standard data request is made; no personal information is sent.
- Microsoft Forms — the optional "Request CV" button links to a form hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft Privacy Statement). Anything you enter there is submitted to Microsoft's service, not to this website.
6. External Links
This site links to external websites — including project websites I have built, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter). Once you leave ravitripathi.in, the privacy practices of those sites apply. I encourage you to review their policies.
7. Data Retention
Messages sent through the contact form arrive in my email inbox and are kept only as long as needed for our correspondence, after which they may be deleted. Routine server logs are retained by the hosting provider for a limited period as part of normal operations.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, applies a strict Content-Security-Policy, loads no third-party scripts, and collects only the minimal data described above. While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, I take reasonable measures to protect any information you share.
9. Your Rights
In line with applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask me to:
- confirm what personal information of yours I hold (typically, only emails you have sent me);
- correct inaccurate information; or
- delete our correspondence.

10. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has sent me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.

I may update this policy from time to time as the website evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
